Requirements for Certification

Candidates must have:

• 4,000 hours of revenue/tax collections/or finance experience.
• Complete a total of 30 hours of educational experience through attendance at CMRTA division meetings and annual conferences. Please reference the Category Education Course Topics list – under reference materials.
• The first portion of the exam process is a timed comprehensive online exam which demonstrates a variety of areas of expertise. The cost is $60 at time of application submittal.
• The second portion of CRO process is preparing and presenting a relatable topic by PowerPoint at one of the division meetings.
